JusticeSeenJusticeDone - You Voted We Listened

25th Jun, 2009 to 25th Sep, 2009

JusticeSeenJusticeDone You voted and we listened

Coton Area received almost as many votes as the other 4 projects put together in the recent Community Payback Public Vote as part of the governments campaign, Justice Seen Justice Done.

On Tuesday 16th June 2009 a team of offenders along with local residents blitzed the area and removed every bit of graffiti and cleared the streets of all manner of rubbish.

Mohammed Taladia, chair of the Coton Neighbourhood Watch sent a letter of thanks to the Community Payback Team and said, "It was a great effort by all the offenders and everybody who was involved, hopefully we have covered everything in the area". Comments from members of the public passing by were extremely positive and the offenders that took part were quite rightly proud of their achievements.

Warwickshire Probation will continue to canvass the publics opinion on the type of work that they would like to see offenders undertake and you can suggest projects on the web-site Community Payback or write to: Community Payback Manager, Warwickshire Justice Centre, Vicarage St, Nuneaton, CV11 4JU.
